This policy explains how Ruby Computers uses information when you visit the Notes website. The Notes application's privacy policy is available in our Notes Terms & Privacy Policy.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit, how they find the website, and how we can improve it. Vercel receives page-view data and provides us with aggregated traffic reports. Analytics data may include the time of a visit, page URL, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location (country, region, and city), browser and operating system versions, device type, and analytics script version.

Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. It distinguishes visitors using a hash derived from the incoming request, which resets daily. According to Vercel, this does not allow visitors to be tracked across different days or websites. We use the reports to improve the website. Visitor sessions and reports

Vercel states that visitor sessions are discarded after 24 hours. This does not mean that all analytics records are deleted after 24 hours: reports remain available according to the reporting window for our Vercel plan.

Website hosting

Vercel also hosts this website. In providing hosting and security services, Vercel processes technical request information, which may include your IP address, device information, and request logs. This processing is separate from the aggregated analytics reports described above. Vercel describes its handling of service data in its Privacy Notice.

Service provider and international processing

We use Vercel Inc. to provide hosting and analytics. Vercel and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Vercel's Data Processing Addendum describes its data protection obligations and safeguards for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Purpose and legal basis

Where personal data is processed for these purposes and applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving this website. We do not use analytics reports to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Your rights and contact details

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
